Meet Erick Sanchez! This March, we dedicate our Safety Champion Award to Erick, our teammate at BR Williams.
We’re proud to have Erick on our team. He’s a great example of a teammate who truly cares, about doing an excellent job, about making it a great friendly environment, and about taking the time to work safely and prevent accidents. Meet Erick in our Safety Spotlight!
First off, tell me a little bit about your job – what are your day to day responsibilities?
“I am a forklift driver. I help replenish each line with materials making sure to stay ahead of what the machines are producing.”
How do you work safe or keep your coworkers safe?
“We try to remind each other about blowing the horn, looking out for people, making sure that we give the right of way, always have your belt on and be safe.”
What’s your favorite part of your job?
“Just the atmosphere that I have with the coworkers, it’s a family atmosphere.”
Any words of wisdom for other teammates trying to be as successful as you’ve been?
“Own the job. Make it personal. I try to kind of give them what I expect from somebody giving me. So you know, be on time, do your job, go home when they tell you to go home. And do the little extra that you need to so you can stand out.”
