Meet Aaron! An Army National Guard member who brings a unique set of values and work ethic to the table, we are proud to announce Joshua “Aaron” Whitehead as TempForce’s November Safety Champion!
We went to visit our friends at Aer-Flo and surprise Aaron with his Safety Champion Award, and got him to tell us about his work, and what it takes to be a Safety Champ!
Aaron’s company manufactures the large protective pads that are used in gyms and athletic fields across the country. Aaron helps build, wrap, and package them, and he’s learning more about how the equipment is built every day. Whenever there’s downtime, he finds something to do, whether it’s getting some of the next day’s building done, or helping to keep the large shop clean and in perfect working order. Deidra, the Plant Manager, says the word for Aaron is self-motivated: “He makes my job easier.”
Deidra also says that Aaron has been very good about keeping his safety glasses on and to lift any heavy object in the correct manner.
Aaron’s safety tip? He tells us that he always uses a safety brace when he has to stack pallets for work. He jokes that in his line of work in the military, he went pretty hard, so he has to use all the protection he can to take care of his back now.
Thank you to Mr. Whitehead for taking safety seriously! This Safety Champion took home an extra $100 Safety Bonus, and a Gift Basket of our favorite goodies.
